UT Lead Experiences

I have learned a lot of valuable information in this program that I feel will help me in becoming successful at the University of Tennessee. It has taught me to transition from high school to college in an effective way. I know how to use all of the resources that Tennessee has to offer. I feel like I am ahead of all of the other upcoming freshmen because of this program. I have my schedule ahead of everyone, so I have the privilege of knowing where my classes and dorms are on campus. I have learned that college is really independent. You really have to do everything on your own. Your responsibilities must mature as well as you. I like that UT has classes that are offered for tutoring and you can receive credit hours. Classes like that cannot do anything but benefit you one hundred percent.
In UT Lead, we have also learned that college will help you find yourself. In high school, you had people holding your hand telling what is wrong and redo it but in college no one will tell you this is wrong and go redo it. UT Lead taught me to act your age not your shoe size. College is a completely different thing from high school so grow up and become responsible for every action you take. They always say college will be the funnest time of your life.

  1. GREAT POST!! I couldn't have said it better myself! I am so sure that you will do an awesome job in college and take full advantage of all the experiences (academic and social) that UT has to offer. Also, don't forget to use me as a resource for suggestions and/or advice whenever you need to! Good luck!!
